How prediction markets settle, and how the live games stay honest
Prediction markets — pooled bets on streamers
Every streamer market is a parimutuel pool: all stakes on all outcomes sit in the same pool, a small trading feeis taken off the top, and the remainder is paid out to the winning side in proportion to each trader's stake.
Markets resolve against a published source — the VOD, the live viewer API, or a stakez moderator review — and every resolution is logged with the timestamp, source, and resolver. See the Resolution details panel on any market card for the exact rules.
Live games — bets against the house
The side games (Crash, Plinko, Wheel) run on a commit-reveal scheme: the server publishes an HMAC of its seed before the round, then reveals the seed afterwards so you can verify the outcome wasn't tampered with. The house takes a fixed edge on these rounds, published per game.
Verifier UI with seed rotation and historical round lookup ships in Phase 2.
